Crash Couch is an invite-only app for finding a free couch in San Francisco through people you already know. It is run by Nuaroom, Inc. ("we"). This page explains what we collect, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Short version: we collect only what a host needs to decide whether to say yes. No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, and we never sell your data.
What we collect

"Your circle" means members within three introductions of you in the vouch graph. Pending applicants see nothing. These rules are enforced in our database, not just in the app.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing activity or device advertising ID.
Services we use
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Your data is stored on their servers.
- Sign in with Apple signs you in. Apple shares only what you allow, usually a relay email.
- unavatar.io loads your public X profile photo from your handle. Your handle is sent to that service when someone's app shows your intro. If you don't add an X handle, nothing is sent.
We don't share your data with anyone else, except when the law requires it.
Approval and safety
Every application is reviewed by hand. To decide, we look at your intro and the public profiles you link. If someone is reported, we review it. We may suspend or remove members, and we may pause the member who vouched for them.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. To delete everything, open the app and go to You → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, intro, contact details, spots, asks, requests, invites and blocks right away. Reports you filed are deleted too. Reports about you are removed along with your account.
If you can't get into the app, email us and we'll delete your account for you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, laws such as the CCPA or GDPR may give you more rights. We'll answer within 30 days.
Age
Crash Couch is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app.
